AhoriBuzz is a flowing, ever-changing funked up beast led by Aaron Tokona (Weta, Bongmaster, Cairo Knife Fight).

The band was formed in early 2007 with the intention to bring a group of friends together. Book a date at a venue turn up on the day and play the gig! A pretty ballsy thing to do except that all of the musicians involved included members from some well established bands within the NZ & International music scene! Needless to say that first gig was the first  of many to come and from that point the band and its music has evolved and developed into a solid working entity.

AhoriBuzz has toured and played support gigs with bands including Fat Freddy’s Drop, Tiki Taane, Shapeshifter, Rhombus, Salmonella Dub, The Black Seeds and has also had the pleasure of gracing the stages of various festivals including Rippon Festival, Kaikoura Roots, Homegrown, WOMAD, Splore, Matakana Festival, Parihaka, Rhythm and Alps and Rhythm and Vine’s Festivals.
